Description
Dr. Hale embodies both the Lovecraftian investigator archetype and also the classic rough n' tumble pulp adventure/explorer. Besides being a top notch strategist and capable fighter, he had another major advantage over the other characters in our MOBA: the magic book he carries with him has made him privy to the meta-story in which he and all the other characters have found themselves. In a way, this makes him the central character in the fiction. We thought about him as a possible face character for the game.
Fun fact: the idea with his handguns is that they'd flare up with magical power (derived from his book) when he pulled them from their holsters. Makes him a little more interesting than your standard pulp character, imho.

Love the idea behind it. His leg looks a bit swollen. Shame about the project.
The red-tinted glasses and bowler together make him seem villainous, like a person with a shaven head and soul patch; the glasses seem more matching to a wide-brim hat (but that wouldn't match the idea of the character), and the bowler may be better alone. It does make him seem more capable in his trade, though, from a certain other contextual angle.
