Just announced at San Diego Comicon today: brand-new Longshot series begins in November with covers by yours truly! Ecstatic about this for many reasons (I like the character and the X-men in general; I get to work with editor Jordan White again; and hey, it's Marvel, baby!) but above all, I'm just stoked to be doing something in comics again. A nasty bout of tendonitis kind of messed that up for me earlier in the year, so it's nice to be back in the saddle.
Anyway, great information about the series in this interview with writer Christopher Hastings: www.newsarama.com/18451-sdcc-1…
Hope you check it out, and lots more news to follow!
Fun fact: artistically, my favorite part of this is that his crossed fingers form a couple of subtle Xs. It's not critical for viewers to get that in order to understand the cover (it's a luck-based hero crossing his fingers--simple enough), but it was fun to throw out a little nod to the X-Men titles.
