TOME--Basati

Perhaps the best of my guardian portraits, this was a favorite piece of art for a lot of Kixeye people on the Marketing and Tome teams, judging by all the nice comments I got about it. Not my design (and yeah, it's a little bit reminiscent of Princess Mononoke), but the atmosphere and vibe are strong and she really looks the part of a Earth Domain badass.  Actual gameplay was still being tweaked during the Beta, so not sure how she actually turned out as a game character, but I do like the look.

Learned a killer way of painting hair while making this, and it's still my go-to technique now.

TOME: Immortal Arena is a brand-new MOBA title from Kixeye, and it just went live on Steam!   Over the past 2 years, I contributed quite a lot of art to the game, first as a concept artist designing the initial batch of characters and, later, as a marketing illustrator responsible for the vast majority of character art you see on the Character Select screen.  Definitely a project that's near and dear to my heart, and hey, it's free to play on Steam (or Kixeye's own website) right now, so check it out!
